Review: Doctor Who – Lets Kill Hitler

The Doctor is back on TV. In case you’re wondering, I’m talking about Doctor Who. And this time, he dies. Well… sort of.

The latest episode was quite charming and beautifully ties in a lot of lose ends but it does open up a whole new can of worms for the fans to dig in. It did clear up a few details about River Song killing The Doctor theory, which was becoming a bit obvious ever since they started calling the Doctor, a good man. But just at the end of this episode, they made it pretty clear that, all this time, the “good man” us fans have been aware of (The Doctor) is not the person River goes to prison for. It certainly isn’t the doctor who she killed to land herself behind bars.

Over all I would give 3 out of 5 stars to this episode for covering a great deal of the story but I was hoping they would actually show Adolf Hitler being killed by The Doctor. After all, the episode IS called “Let’s kill Hitler”.

Even thou, it has been creating a lot of excitement among the fans, the part about hitler was barely worth the trouble. And unless it alters the time-line significantly (which it would if Hitler didn’t die), I don’t think Hitler made much of an impact. I guess they had to find some way to get the story sync up with what’s been told in the past episodes. As a fan, I’m looking forward to the next episodes but kind of disappointed that they didn’t do much with Hitler.
